The purpose of the Economic and Demographic Analysis is to provide current data and analysis to assist communities and other organizations that apply for federal funds from the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs for housing projects, public facilities, and economic development activities. This data may also be useful to other entities needing a statewide or county level analysis of economic, demographic, and housing trends.

Mobile Home Decommissioning & Replacement and Mobile Home Park Acquisition Strategies for Montana
The purpose of this report is to recommend a conceptual strategy or strategies to decommission and replace occupied mobile homes that were built prior to the implementation of the 1974 HUD Construction Standards for such housing. The recommended strategies are based on a summary review of best practices in other states and a preliminary analysis of the market and need for replacing the substandard, and energy inefficient housing stock in Montana.

This report provides project development information for community, not-for-profit groups, and other providers of housing and services to seniors using Montana's HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding programs. Groups may include community-sponsored nonprofit and for-profit organizations, housing authorities, and fraternal and social organizations interested in developing special needs housing for the elderly.

The Montana Housing Condition Study evaluates the current housing stock in the state. The detailed data presented on the current housing stock will help the state and community organizations better understand what types of housing are available for rent and for purchase, and assist them in determining the housing needs of Montana citizens.

Montana Community Land Trust Information

Montana Community Land Trust
There are currently five self-identified CLT's in the state.  There are several other groups seriously investigating CLT start ups.  A Feasibility Study has recently been completed to explore ways to address the need for long-term land stewardship in areas where no entities were available or willing to receive donations of land or money to purchase land that could be held permanently in trust.
